BandTrax FAQ
When I try to burn a MIDIfile to CD I'm getting a "file error" message.
|
||
A MIDIfile will
NOT burn as an audio file to CD. You must firstly RECORD the sound
produced by the MIDIfile to either a wave, MP3, or other audio file. Then burn the
audio file to CD. For further details contact your computer provider.

The MIDIfiles work in MEDIA PLAYER but don't operate correctly when I
transfer them to other software or hardware.
|
||
If they operate
correctly in MEDIA PLAYER then they are working as they should, although
the sound generator for the media player may be less than acceptable. If you
then have problems with other devises then there is obviously some type of
configuration problem. You will need to contact the supplier or manufacturer of the
product causing the problem. And don't believe them when they say it is
the MIDIfile. If a correctly produced MIDIfile is corrupt it just won't
play at all.

Do all your MIDIfiles have endings as opposed to faded endings?
|
||
All PRO series
files end "cleanly", no fades. The KAR series may have faded
endings, depending on what this file was originally used for. To remove
the 'fade' simply delete the data for Controller #11. (Expression). Your software may have 'converted' the Expression Controller (#11) to be the Volume Controller (#7). WARNING - Removing #7 will also remove any Volume variations for that part.

I'm having a problem with getting sound from your music demos on your site. I have recently upgraded Media Player. All the music from my cd's play ok | ||
There is not a
problem with our site. Upgrading Media Player may be the answer. Check in
Windows Control Panel that Audio Devises, MIDI playback DOES have an
association to a device. Also check in Media Player that MIDI is available
to the Media Player. For further help, go to www.microsoft.com/

The song by Don Williams ( SSP385 ) is this a download only or can I buy
the CD? |
||
We do not sell
CD's. We produce MIDIfiles.

I want to download quite a few of your MIDI files to purchase. Do they
have a count in for each or most of the songs?
|
||
That depends on the programmer and the title. You can select the demo for
evaluation, as they all contain around the first 30 seconds from the
master file.
